Trouble connecting laptop to home network – it just started out of no where – put in security code and no go?
I tried a different laptop and it connected fine. We have XP on the home computer and vista on the laptop that won’t connect. It has been working fine for a year and then all of a sudden it stopped connecting today. I reinstalled the router software and Network Magic on the PC. The only message I get from vista is “reset the router. Signal strength is excellent, 5 bars. I used the device manager to check if the adaptor was working – it is.
If you have an existing profile on these computers that cannot connect, try deleting and recreating it. Also check if the WEP is shared or online while configuring the profile.
